Eagle Mt Rockery Cottages

1822 State Route 20,
Port Townsend, WA
We purchased the rockery in 2003 and are still in the process of restoring the outdoor museum. We thought it would be a 10 year project. There's simply no end in sight. Part of the charm of being here is watching the eagles soaring. Local legend has it that Eaglemount got it's name because eagles nested here. We have our own private state approved class A TNC water system. Our future plan is to excavate Scotty's Mine. We have been told by the previous owner that a golden egg was placed in the mine before it caved in. Eaglemount Rockery is host to a GEO CACHE site which is set up by Pappa Bear " Discovery Bay Rocks ". You can find the details at:

Cottages By The Beach

4813 Lora Ln,
Blaine, WA
Centrally located in Birch Bay just south of the Canadian border, Lora's Cottage (2 bedroom 1 bath) and Seashell Cottage (3 bedroom 2 bath) are the second and third houses from the beach. Each has been fully and lovingly restored, leaving Birch Bay's old - fashioned charm while receiving all the comforts of today. Whispering Pines is a small neighborhood with some of the largest yards in Birch Bay. Located in the middle of the Bay, within walking distance of shops and restaurants, you'll find all the relaxation our resort community has to offer as you enjoy the safest and warmest saltwater of the Pacific Northwest.

Seashell Cottage sleeps 11 comfortably in 3 winsome bedrooms & on sofa beds in the living room & family room. Lora's Cottage has two cheerful bedrooms & sleeps up to 6. Each cottage boasts a sparkling new kitchen, new appliances, & all you need to cook & serve, whether snacks or dinner. No need to pack linens, just pack your clothes & go!

This is the living room and fireplace at Seashell Cottage. Part of the dining area shows in the background to the right A bright red sunset. This is the front of Lora's Cottage
Single storied cottages make for ease for everyone from tots to elders. Each cottage has more than an ample yard for your family picnics, BBQ's, outdoor games & play plus lots of privacy. And yes, you can rent both cottages to sleep up to 17. The cottages are separated by a mere narrow lane.

Don't let lots of privacy sound like boring! The cottages are definitely not off the beaten path. Theyre in the Heart of Old Birch Bay, the heart of the fun. And while Birch Bay is a resort area, it's not artificial -- it's quaint, laid - back & unspoiled.

You'll never be out of sight or sound of the rippling tidal waters as you walk to the old fashioned Coffee House for a refreshing beverage & then on to the 'C' Shop to watch your chocolates being crafted by European trained chocolatiers!

Building sand castles at Birch Bay
Really, it's no mystery why Birch Bay boasts these warmest & safest of waters! The largest tide flat in Washington State sits & bakes in the sun, day after day. It's one of Washington's best - kept secrets! Picture is of private beach

Both cottages are seconds from public beach with well over a mile of unrestricted beach access. Lora's Cottage also has private beach, accessible via a gated wooden footbridge where you'll have your pick of the seashells & clams. (claming license required). On a misty morn you might see a Great Blue Heron hunched on the bridge rails, but do watch your step -- Killdeers nest along the way. Don't be surprised to waken to the distinctive chirp of eagles right across from the cottages.

Watch eagles from the comfort of our cottages. Their favorite perches from which they dive to the water for their dinner, squabble with each other (females are bigger than males) & chase off gangs of pesky crows, are right across from Lora's & within sight of Seashell.

We know that for those special getaways & occasions, you're looking for that 'something extra' touch. So we offer half a dozen, not your ordinary cinnamon rolls, included in the price of your stay (holiday season not included). They're huge, fluffy & fragrant, smothered in the perfect finger 'smackin' blend of cream cheese frosting, baked fresh & delivered to the cottages.

You can order all sorts of other goodies from our prize-winning cinnamon roll baker, just ask us when you book your reservation.

Our goal -- an old fashioned vacation with the comforts of today!
