We stay with these great people every year. It is obvious from the two negative comments that one person posted these. The policies are clearly posted on the website. Sorry you can't read. I LOVE this place. Can't say enough good things about it.

Do not stay with this people. They are take your money and not refund it. We booked two month in advanced and called to ask about cancelling. They stated that it would be $ 50.00. We told them never mind that we would go ahead and come up there. When we showed up the had given our cabin away and would not give us the $50.00 back. The owner was very rude.

These people took our deposit and then rented our cabin to someone else. We drove 3 hours thinking we were going to have a relaxing anniversary to be informed she was under the impression we were thinking about canceling. When I ask her why she rented my cabin to someone else without as much as a phone call she informed me that she had to make a living. So she doubled her money on a deposit. Her neighbors with rental cabins were helpful in assisting me with finding a cabin and I would have gladly stayed in their cabins if they had a vacancy. She was no help what so ever and please don't hold a poor opinion of Broken Bow residents and businesses. For the most part everyone else was helpful and curteous.

This cabin is not worth more than $75 a night! We rented the Jimmy Cabin for 3 nights June 7-10. We got the key holder open but there was no key. We had to wait 2 different times for the lady with the key to come back (then had an issue with the key we left not being found. The pictures showed that all 4 children would be in the 2 bunkbeds in one bedroom. This was not so and we 3 adults were looking forward to having our own bedroom. Didn't happen. Don't trust the pictures. ALL of the water faucets needed work none of them worked properly and no hot water in the main bath. And then hanging out in the back yard was greatly hampered by the stench coming from the sesspool not 3 feet away from the sitting area in the back. It was horrible and was made worse by all the rain. And then the dryer didn't work and no clear instructions on what to do with our trash. There was one regular size trash can for this cabin that boasts that it will sleep 10. And to top it all off we were accused of stealing the key to the cabin. It was found but no apology was offered. It sounds inexpensive but once you add up all the extra per person costs you really could do much better in one of the newer cabins around Broken Bow. They need to do a lot of mainteneace work before I would ever reccomend it to anyone else!

We stayed in the Jimmy cabin over Memorial Day weekend 2011 (we paid a premium in-season, holiday rate) with some friends but unfortunately our experience wasn\'t pleasant. First, the cabin was decently clean but lacked several minor amenities, when put together, were troublesome. Specifically, there was no soap anywhere in the cabin other than the hand soap and dish soap in the kitchen (however the cabin owner does own a small store across the highway where you can buy your own soap for the shower and bathrooms which seems like a racket). Next, the website lists the cabin as having a dishwasher however we quickly found out after dinner Friday evening that it did not work. The next morning we found out the coffee maker didn\'t work either (an ammenity we emailed about prior to reserving the cabin which we were assured was available and functional). When we told the owner about the situation he apologized about the dishwasher and said he knew it didn\'t work but that he forgot to tell us. Who really wants to wash dishes on vacation after every meal each day? Three meals per day for three days makes for a lot of additional work, an unfortunate necessity, since the cabin only had a smattering of dishes and flatware. We asked for some financial consideration due to the dishwasher not working and he essentially shrugged off our request and said too bad. As for the coffee maker he did bring us a new one later that evening. We paid $145 plus an extra $60 per night because we had a total of three adults and three small children (all age 5 -- their website states small children are free though but apparently the owner\'s idea of small child is actually an infant). The rate of $200 plus per night was MUCH higher than other cabins we have stayed in the same area which were FAR better equipped and better managed. All in all the cabin served it\'s purpose but when considering the product we received we would have had a much nicer experience at other cabins in the area for an equal, if not lower, rate. I would say the quality of the cabin is FAR more inline with their base rate of $75/night when considering their lack of attention to detail (no soap, paper towels or toilet paper) and their brush-off customer service attitude. The area has a lot to offer for fun cabin experiences and it is my opinion Secluded Acres is not one of them.

We stayed over Labor day weekend and was very disapointed in Secluded Acres. The map is very decesiving on how it really is. The traffic noise is so loud that I was unable to sleep. The site states that if you have water and electric the price is $25.00 yet he charged us 33.00 and refused to credit us back the difference. I had ask to please not charge my card that I woudl bring cash and he used it anyway. I will never stay here again. In business I feel that you should honor what is written in black and white on your site and he just would not honnor that or give anytype of refund for the fact that you are right on the road with all the semi truck.

All of the cabins we offer, just north of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, are locally owned and maintained. They are approximately 2 miles east of highway 259, off of 259A, the southern Beavers Bend State Park road. These settings offer that hard to find seclusion and privacy so many visitors to the area seek out. The 20 and 40 private acres, exclusive to the Seclusion, Shaui Chukka, Bear's Den, Water's Edge, Redbud Retreat, and Tranquility cabins, offer a private setting unlike any other in the area. 20 of the private acres are all reserved for guests staying at the Seclusion cabin, which is located just south of the 40 acre tract. Surrounding these properties are dense pine trees and enormous hardwoods, giving you the authentic feel of the Kiamichi wilderness. There are private rental cabins spread throughout the Beavers Bend area. Year after year they are becoming more popular, as travelers make their first trip to the area. In Beavers Bend State Park, you can fly fish on the Lower Mountain Fork River, or hike on over 15 miles of trails. Canoeing, kayaking, and boating are all available through area recreational rental companies. Horseback riding and miniature train rides are offered through Beavers Bend Depot and Stables.
