We stayed in one of the small cabins and really enjoyed our stay. The property is located on Swan Lake. Our cabin had a kitchen (equipped) a bedroom, livingroom and bathroom. The loons calling and the relaxed atmosphere was wonderful. There is also a restaurant I would recommend you go eat there. Cheese curds are great. Friday night Fish Fry night.

Two thumbs, way up ~ my family has been spending the same week at Oak Park Resort for about 20 years. It is a beautiful resort with well maintained cabins and clean, enjoyable facilities and amenities. The lake and waterfront are wonderful for families with any age children. I can't say enough nice things about the resort or Jim and Theresa Swanson (owners), they are simply put - fabulous proprietors. We look forward to our week at the lake every summer. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Even after we moved to Seattle from Minneapolis.

This resort is wonderful. Our families have been going to Oak Park for 17 years. We love it. When we ask our children what their favorite vacation spot they say "the Lake "(Clitheral - oak park) and that is up against Estes Park, CO and Disneyworld. The owners are great and its a place to make family memories.

Great location! Great lake! Terrific owners! Cabins are very clean. We have stayed here frequently. The recreation center has pinball machines, pool table, tennis table, games, books, honor system candy and ice. The lake is good fishing and good swimming. Lots of docks and great fishing off the docks in the evening. Each cabin has an outdoor picnic table and there are Weber grills available for use. If you don\'t have something in your cabin, check at the office. They have a lot of items you can borrow - crock pots, etc. The only drawback for some people may be the full size beds, but the rest of the resort more than makes up for it!

This is a very very nice place, it has it all. Immaculate rooms, unique and elegant style, meals and massages. The biggest perk is the peacefullness and great fishing. We like to do B&B's because you just pay the price of a room and get use of a whole house and this was a fantastic deal. They don't take kids unless you rent all three rooms so it's great for adults wanting that real peace and quiet.

Broken Arrow Resort

1 Bass Lake Rd,
Naytahwaush, MN
Broken Arrow Resort is family-owned and operated, since 1949, on a wilderness lake. The only resort on an undeveloped scenic fishing lake, 2 mi down a gravel road from a paved highway that leads to "civilization." 5 modern cabins with views of the lake and easy access via a sandy slope to the dock. Cabins are about 75 feet apart. Woodsy, cozy with modern conveniences. Most of our customers are repeats, but we do have occasional vacancies and look forward to meeting new people. Give us a call!

My dad and mom & I stayed there in 1960. I later took my children there to the same cabin. I had a great time ,it brought back good old memories. I remember Sandy Super and her mother back in the 60's . My son in law & daughter & grand daughter now want to go there to renew old memories. Thank you for the good times you and your mom showed my family. My dad was Cleo Stevens & my uncle was Asa Stevens. God Bless. Gary Stevenscriefie

Big Lake Wilderness Lodge

P.o. Box 359,
Ely, MN
Big Lake Wilderness Lodge is a remote wilderness resort located 23 miles north of Ely, MN on the scenic Echo Trail, which winds from Ely, MN to Crane Lake. Surrounded by the Superior National Forest with its abundant wildlife, numerous hiking trails and proximity to the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, we're the most remote drive-in resort in northern Minnesota. Bring the whole family for a remote MN vacation getaway. We're a pet friendly resort, too!

Early Bird Special
Rent our Tamarack or Vermilion cabins at a special rate when you reserve between March 15th and June 15th (includes a free 14' boat).

May and September Specials
Receive 10% off when you rent our Timber Ridge cabin this May or September, or for two consecutive weeks.

Here, you'll find life's most rewarding pleasures. Freshly caught fish ready for the fry pan. Dense pine and birch forests with impressive vistas that have remained virtually unchanged for generations. Nighttime skies sparkling with a heaven full of stars and, sometimes, a vivid display of Northern Lights. Our clean air and pure waters invite you, your family and friends to enjoy the Northwoods out-of-doors.

With 1,800 acres of water, 14 islands, and numerous inlets and bays, Big Lake is a place of rugged beauty. This northern MN lake is one of the DNR's top-rated walleye lakes and also holds northern pike, smallmouth bass, and perch. No motor-size restrictions. Public boat ramp access nearby. If fishing is the number one priority for your vacation, our Wilderness Fishing Sampler has everything you need!

Our fishing season opens here May 12th. Spring and fall fishing means colder water spurring the larger fish into feeding frenzies in shallow, more accessible patterns; fishing action really heats up in the summer as the lake warms up driving fish to main lake structure. These are all great times of the year for the serious fisherman. Our economical Walleye Fever package includes a lake view cabin, boats and motors, and initial supply of gas and bait at one low price.

Scotts Peaceful Valley Resort

7559 Gold Coast Rd,
Crane Lake, MN
The mn resort was founded by J. C. and Lineta Scott on a small Minnesota / Canadian boundary lake at a time when fishermen drove Model-T's along winding gravel roads to Crane Lake.
In our third generation of family tradition, Scott's Peaceful Valley Resort is proud to be part of this great northern wilderness by providing quality service to our resort guests.
